Ringelbeanie not only for touching…
Iris loves knitting with fair alpaca wool so much that she can't carry it all herself. That's why she offers the items to others for sale. She also gladly accepts commissioned work. Iris has a sales stand at the Christmas markets in Oestrich-Winkel and Wicker, at the Ankermühle winery and the Flick winery. You can not only admire and buy these hats online at Siriknitting. The items are also available in the farm shop of the Saar Alpaka Farm in Saarbrücken. Around 100g of baby alpaca wool DK was used for each ringed beani. Here are the knitting instructions for you to copy:
Wool – fairalpaka DK – two colours of your choice
(for example 50 gr. Deep Ocean heather (HF259) and 50 gr. Lagoon heather (HF255)
Let's go:
Cast on 92 stitches with circular knitting needle size 3.5 in colour 1.
Knit 13 rows (approx. 5 cm) in rib pattern 1 purl 1 knit.
Knit rows 14-17 in color 2.
Knit row 18 with color 1 to make the transition smooth.
19.23. Knit row left.
Repeat rows 14 to 23 five times.
Acceptance:
Divide the stitches by 4 and decrease 1 stitch in each of the following rows. Distribute the decreases across the stitches (evenly decreasing creates a kind of seam that doesn't look nice on this hat)
When there are about 76 stitches on the circular needle or if it is too tight, knit the work onto a pair of double pointed needles. Keep to the color changes. When there are 5 stitches on each needle (20 stitches in total), pull the stitches together tightly at the top. Sew in the ends. Done.
