We also utilize a transparent and sustainable supply chain and offer long-lasting quality.

Animal welfare is better protected in the production of alpaca wool than in the production of down. Down is still often sourced from live plucking – an extremely painful procedure for the animals. Another important factor is moisture wicking. We lose around 500 ml of water per night through our skin. Down duvets essentially just absorb this moisture, while an alpaca duvet can release it immediately.

Alpaca fibers offer ideal hypoallergenic properties that significantly reduce the risk of allergies. Their scaly surface, for example, effectively reduces the absorption of small dirt particles and odors. Because alpaca wool contains no lanolin, it is also suitable for people with lanolin allergies. Furthermore, it possesses antistatic and dust-repellent properties, thus preventing the growth of dust mites. Therefore, an alpaca duvet is also ideal for people with dust mite allergies.

Unsere Bettdecken werden bei unserem langjährigen Herstellerpartner in Peru gefertigt. Wir arbeiten eng mit ihm zusammen, besuchen die Produktion vor Ort und vertreiben seine Bettdecken exklusiv für den deutschen Markt. Für unsere Bio-Variante kommt Baumwollstoff aus deutscher Produktion zum Einsatz. Die Fertigung der Bettdecken erfolgt in Peru.

Mehr Wärme bedeutet mehr Alpakawolle in der Füllung. Größere Maße benötigen außerdem mehr Stoff und Verarbeitung. Diese Unterschiede berücksichtigen wir bei der Preisgestaltung. Durch den direkten Kontakt zum Hersteller in Peru, gebündelte Transporte und unsere langjährige Zusammenarbeit verzichten wir auf unnötige Zwischenhandelsstufen. So können wir die Preisunterschiede nachvollziehbar halten.

Alpakawolle ist eine natürliche Faser, die Wärme speichern und Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen und wieder abgeben kann. Deshalb wird sie gerne für Bettdecken verwendet. Unsere ALPAWOOL® Bettdecken kombinieren 100 % Alpakafüllung mit einem Baumwollbezug. Du kannst zwischen drei Wärmestufen wählen und die Decke damit an deine Schlafgewohnheiten anpassen.

Für die regelmäßige Pflege empfiehlt es sich, die Bettdecke gut auszulüften. Bei Flecken oder stärkerer Verschmutzung beachte bitte immer das Pflegeetikett deines konkreten Modells. Wasche oder reinige die Bettdecke nicht eigenständig mit einer Methode, die auf dem Etikett nicht ausdrücklich zugelassen ist. Wenn du unsicher bist, hilft dir unser Kundenservice gerne weiter.

Die Verträglichkeit von Naturfasern ist individuell. Alpakawolle enthält im Gegensatz zu Schafwolle kaum Wollfett (Lanolin). Das bedeutet jedoch nicht, dass jede Person die Faser problemlos verträgt. Wir geben deshalb keine pauschale Allergiker-Garantie. Wenn du eine bekannte Woll-, Hausstaub- oder andere Allergie hast, solltest du die individuelle Eignung vor dem Kauf abklären.
