Gitta knits the stole
A stole is in and of itself a liturgical garment. That means it is a piece of clothing that is worn during a church service. The Romans also loved to wear them in the ancient Roman Empire. It has probably gotten around that such a special shawl is also used on other occasions today.
But how do you make the stole?
Either you buy them or, better yet, you knit them yourself. Gitta used her knitting machine, which she has been using for 30 years, to make the alpaca stole.
She ordered cones from us for her two-tone stole. One 500g baby alpaca wool LACE cone in dark blue heather and one 500g baby alpaca wool LACE cone in berry heather. The work time was approximately 7 hours.
Gitta is quite active and also has a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Strickdesign/ There she shows her over 1,100 fans what she knits herself. She is a member of the fairalpaka fan group. That's where we discovered her published alpaca stole.
We wish all knitting enthusiasts, women and men, lots of fun with their handicrafts. With that in mind – let yourself be inspired!
