Does the alpaca hat shrink when washed?

If you wash the alpaca hat carefully by hand, it will retain its shape and size. However, water that is too hot or aggressive washing can cause it to shrink. In exceptional cases, it can also be washed on a gentle cycle in the washing machine at a low temperature. In this case, we recommend our organic alpaca wool detergent, which is gentle on the fiber and helps to maintain the softness and structure of the wool.
