The Mission
The "Casa Verde" children's homes in Arequipa and Cusco offer a new living space to children who have been abused or neglected in their families - children who have suffered many psychological and physical injuries. They often suffer from malnutrition and are in urgent need of medical care, educational and psychological support, affection, emotional stability and space to play and learn. In consultation with the juvenile court, such children are taken in, cared for and accompanied in the Casa Verde children's home.

Casa Verde was founded by the German Volker Nack and his Peruvian wife Dessy and has since been a safe space and home for children and young people who have been abandoned by their parents or who have been exposed to various forms of physical, psychological or sexual violence. They live in the children's homes of Casa Verde in a family environment that offers them the necessary protection, care and affection that they did not have in their families before. This also includes support and thus the opportunity to attend school in order to later complete an apprenticeship. All children also need intensive psychological care in order to be able to process their previous, sometimes traumatic experiences.
