Our change in product range is driven by a clear decision:
We want to position Hansa Farm more focused, stronger, and clearly in the long term.
Some of our yarns have been with us for years and have become part of many projects.
That is precisely why it was important to us to take this step consciously and transparently.
With this page, we are not only giving you insight into our decision, but also the opportunity to secure these qualities one last time.
What is changing at Hansa Farm in the 2026 season?
What is changing at Hansa Farm in the 2026 season?
In the 2026 season, we are streamlining and focusing our range.
In recent years, we have carefully analyzed which yarns our customers truly love and, above all, use regularly. This has shown that medium and thicker yarn weights are in significantly higher demand, as they lead to finished projects more quickly.
Therefore, we will focus more on these yarns in the future and continue to specifically expand our range around baby alpaca and our own brands such as alpacare®.
We will therefore discontinue some finer yarn types such as Fingering, Lace, Silk, or Royal Alpaca to make room for new, even better products.
Why are you discontinuing certain yarns?
Why are you discontinuing certain yarns?
This was not an easy decision for us, as many of these yarns have been with us for years.
At the same time, we have noticed that some of these products are rarely requested and tie up a lot of storage space and resources in the long term. This prevents us from developing new products and further improving our range.
Our goal is to only offer yarns that our customers really need and enjoy working with, and to focus entirely on quality and availability.
Why are you realigning your product range right now?
Why are you realigning your product range right now?
For us, the end of the season is the time of year when we take stock of everything.
We analyze sales figures, talk to customers, exchange ideas with other retailers, and use this to develop our strategy for the coming year.
2026 is a particularly important step for us because we want to strengthen our international presence even further and produce larger quantities. To do this, we need a clear, focused product range.
What does this mean for the future of Hansa Farm?
What does this mean for the future of Hansa Farm?
We are taking a clear step forward:
- stronger focus on in-demand yarns
- expanding our own brands
- developing new products
- larger production volumes → more stable prices
- internationalization
At the same time, we remain true to our core principle: offering high-quality yarns at fair prices
What will happen now with the discontinued yarns?
What will happen now with the discontinued yarns?
We will no longer be reproducing these yarns.
This means:
These are remaining stocks that are only available in limited quantities.
For our customers, this is a final opportunity to purchase these yarns, sometimes at particularly attractive prices.
