Last month we had the chance to visit Pacomarca, an alpaca research station, in the middle of the Andes at 3,800 masl during the 5-hours trip we could admire different Andean landscapes that inspired us for our colour palette.
Depending on the time of the year the view of the Peruvian Andes change, this time we were at the beginning of the “Dry season”. Where you can see mostly earth tones, browns and grays dominate the sight view. You can see the mountains without ice and see the basted fields in a beautiful camel that shines with sunlight.
This blends perfectly with alpacas, mostly in white colours but you also have colored ones. Alpacas have 9 pure tones, and these are blended to obtain yarns in more than 22 natural colours (undyed yarn). This is only natural fibre with this quantity of undyed colours.
In our palette we have chosen the most popular natural colours, offering you the possibility of knitting with lower environmental impact.
